Ryan Cruthers

Ryan attended the United States Military Academy at West Point and was part of the
Army hockey team for two years. He finished his four years of NCAA division one
hockey with Robert Morris University. After college, Ryan played over 600
professional games over 8 seasons between the ECHL and the AHL. Ryan started his
coaching career in the ECHL with the Reading Royals. He then took an opportunity to
coach with the Charlotte Rush in the USPHL, where he won a National Championship
in 2017. The following season he was hired as the Head Coach of the Chicago Steel in
the USHL. Following his time with the Chicago Steel, Ryan went on to become the
General Manager and Head Coach of the Corpus Christi IceRays of the NAHL.
Continuing to climb the coaching ranks, Ryan then moved on to become an Assistant
Coach with Robert Morris University. The desire to help coach his young boys
brought him back to the Charlotte area, where he is currently the President of
Carolina Premier Hockey, previously coached the CPH 10U team for three seasons, and is currently the Owner and GM of the
Charlotte Rush as well as the Columbia Infantry of the USPHL. His passion for hockey in the Carolinas has brought him to the professional level where he is currently the Head Coach and President of Hockey Operations for the Fayetteville Marksmen of the Southern Professional Hockey League. Ryan is seen weekly instructing both on ice and off ice sessions with all of our CPH teams.
